Bob the bib

This is the bib that you can create by following our design tutorial

① Measurements

Size

Drafted by the FreeSewing engine — a proper, sewable block. Wearing ease and seam allowance are already included.

② Fabric & layout

Drafting…

Suggested fabric

Cotton terry/toweling · Quilting cotton (front) · Flannel · Waterproof PUL backing

150–300 gsm (4.4–8.8 oz/yd²)

soft and absorbent

Back a soft cotton front with terry or fleece for absorbency, pre-wash everything, and use a snap or hook-and-loop closure rather than a button for baby safety.

Avoid: scratchy fabrics, loose weaves that fray

③ Place a motif

Preview where a chest print, pocket or embroidery will sit before you cut — then print it as a placement guide.
