Suggested fabric
Cotton French terry · Cotton/poly fleece-back sweatshirting · Loopback jersey · Brushed-back knit
250–380 gsm (7.4–11.2 oz/yd²) · some stretch ok
soft, lofty stable knit with mechanical stretch
Use a stable mid-heavy sweater knit like French terry so the drop shoulders and hood hold their slouchy shape without collapsing; add ribbing for the cuffs, hem and hood opening.
Avoid: Stiff wovens, Very lightweight single jersey, 4-way spandex performance knits
③ Place a motif
Preview where a chest print, pocket or embroidery will sit before you cut — then print it as a placement guide.
